CRB will blacklist your name if you default in paying a loan. Even small loans of as low as 100 ksh can make you get blacklisted by the CRB. Checking your CRB standing or status has been made easier, you can check if you’ve been blacklisted by using your mobile phone

How to Check your CRB Status For Free By Using TransUnion Nipashe APP.
This Procedure is the simplest way to check if you are a loan defaulter or not. Follow the steps below.
  • Download the TransUnion Nipashe App from Playstore.
  • Open the app and fill in the details Required. (First name, Second name, ID Number and Phone number)
  • Accept the terms and conditions then click next.
  • On the Next Page you’ll be shown your CRB Status. (It will be either GOOD or DEFAULTER)
        For Defaulter this is How it will Look Like.
Those that Haven’t been Blacklisted it will Appear Like This.
To view other TransUnion Services this is what you’ll have to do.
 
Other TransUnion Services include the following: Loan Account,Credit Report,Clearance Certificate,Credit Score, CR 12.
To access the above services you’ll be required to pay a one off fee of ksh 50 to paybill 212121 with your national ID Number as the account number.
