Certificate of good conduct basically means that you have been searched on the criminal record of Kenya and no record was found. It show that the person is of good conduct ,Morals behavior e.t.c

Requirement inorder to Apply for Certificate of good Conduct in Kenya.

  • If you’re 18 yrs and over you will need your ID Card.
  • If you’re below 18 yrs you will need your original Birth Certificate.
  • Application Fee of 1000 ksh.
UPDATE: Easiest Way to Get Certificate of Good Conduct.( HUDUMA CENTER METHOD)
  • Visit any Huduma Center that is nearest to You.
  • Once there,go to the cash office and Pay you application fee of 1000 ksh. You will then be given a receipt.
  • Make copies of the receipt and your ID Then present it to the staff.
  • Your Fingerprints will then be taken.
  • After that you’re through. The only thing left is to wait for 3 weeks to pick the certificate.

How to get Certificate of Good conduct in Nairobi .

  • Go to the CID headquarters which is along Kiambu road.
  • Once there,go to the cash office and Pay you application fee of 1000 ksh. You will then be given a receipt.
  • Make copies of the receipt and your ID Then present it to the staff.
  • Your Fingerprints will then be taken.
  • After that you’re through.The only thing left is to wait for 3 weeks to pick the certificate.

N/B; The receipt issued to you when you pay the application fee usually indicates when you should come back to pick the Certificate of good conduct.

How to get Certificate of Good conduct if You’re outside Nairobi.

  • Visit any Police station and ask them to direct you to the divisional CID Offices. If you Know where the Divisional CID Offices are located you can go there directly
  • Make you Application Fee of 1000 bob aftre which you’ll be given your receipt.
  • Proceed to the next step which is Fingerprinting
  •   Get a copyof your receipt which will show when to collect your certificate.
  • Collect your Certificate on the date indicated
